This classic steak sandwich is a real lunchtime treat, best served piping hot with crisp, fresh salad leaves and a dollop of mustard mayonnaise.
Ingredients:
2 Roberts Bakery sub rolls
500g of steak thinly sliced
1 red onion sliced
Coarsely ground black pepper
Salt to taste
2 dessert spoons of mustard mayonnaise
2 tomatoes
Fresh rocket
Olive oil
Method:
- Sprinkle both sides of the steak with salt and pepper, then brush with olive oil
- Heat a cast-iron or non-stick pan and sear the steak for about 2 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan
- Cook the onion for 2 minutes in the remaining oil
- Line the sub rolls with sliced tomato, fresh rocket and mustard mayo
- Add the steak and onion and serve.
