Competition winner Tracy Taylor enjoyed peak behind the great Roberts Bakery windows recently, when she and her family met with Lindsay Occleston (nee Robert) for a tour of the busy bakery.
Tracy won the tour as a prize after entering a competition in the Northwich Guardian, to help celebrate the launch of our new packaging which fetures the iconic bakery on the pack.
Tracy, together with her stepdaughter Faye, and parents Barbara and John Griffiths, was shown around the bakery by family director Lindsay and saw how we make over 1.6million loaves every week, from mixing the dough through to proving and baking, and then cooling in the glass towers at the front of the bakery and finally slicing with razor sharp blades and packing.
After the tour Tracy and her family enjoyed a talk on the history of Roberts Bakery and took home some goodie bags packed with loaves and sweet treats fresh from the bakery.
Tracy said: ” We just wanted to say a big thank you for the tour around the bakery - we all thought it was really interesting to see how the bread is made and thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the talk afterwards from Lindsay.”
