Juicy melt in the middle beef burgers

You'll need

• 4 beef burgers
• 200g of grated cheese (50g per burger)
• 2 sliced onions (½ an onion per burger)
• 8 rashers of bacon (2 per burger)
• 400g of bread crumbs (100g per burger)
• 4 burger buns
• 1 egg
• Optional: salad and sauces

How to make it

Begin by sautéing the onions until slightly browned, then mix with the cheese into a small bowl. Take your burger and brush with the egg. Roll the burger in the cheese and onion mix and cover.

Take slices of bacon and lay out flat, overlapping the slices to make a lattice. Place your burger, cheese and onion mix onto the bacon, and carefully wrap the bacon around the burger. Then, coat the bacon with your remaining egg wash.

Dip the bacon wrapped burger into the bread crumbs and cover. Heat a pan of oil (2 inches deep) and carefully pop the burger into the frying oil. Cook to your liking, turning the burger over once, and enjoy!
